UNIX/Linux Technical Support Engineer
(Central Visayas - Cebu)

Responsibilities:

* Highly responsible for the following:
* monitoring of the Ops center management systems (HSM security modules)
* drive expeditious resolution for any reported incident and/or problem tickets
* communicate and escalate incidents and/or problems to the right stakeholders in a timely manner
* create process and procedures, incident/problem tickets
* document any changes
* provide 1st level of support should an incident/problem arises or detected
* Make sure that Ops Center management servers are configured and running 24 x 365
* Will do security audits of the system
* Verify the integrity of the server system every shift
* Perform the following tasks should an error state is triggered:
* notify local manufacturing IT and operations management of the problem
* notify system admin and system architects of the problem
* gather diagnostic logs of all equipment involved in the issue
* call maintenance/support staff of the vendor, should a physical machine needs replacement
* will work with the maintenance/support staff of the vendor to provide basic debug of the equipment at issue

Requirements:

* At least a Bachelor’s Degree holder of any IT-related courses (BS ComSci, BS IT, BS ComEng, BS ECE, etc.)
* At least 2-3 years of UNIX/Linux/Solaris Experience
* At least Tier 2 level as technical support engineer in a Call Center, BPO, or IT Environment
* Procedure, process, and service oriented
* Must have working experience with SLA’s, incident management, and change management
* Have working experience in systems monitoring, and should at least be familiar with scripting (shell, bash, korn, bourne, php, etc.)
* Oracle administration, ITIL exposure, and project management experience are plus factors
* Very good in oral communication
* Flexible, dynamic, and a team player
